2. Basildon Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Basildon, you must:

Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement.   • Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Basildon location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Basildon Collection and Return

  • At collection, inspect the vehicle carefully and report any existing damage to Basildon staff immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Basildon representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage found on return will be assessed and charged in line with Basildon’s damage policy. Refuelling, excessive soiling or missing equipment may incur additional fees.

5. Basildon Insurance and Liability

  • Basildon provides basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Optional insurance products may be available to reduce your potential financial exposure. Please review the available options before finalising your booking. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount stated in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes for Basildon

Basildon cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please consult your booking confirmation or rental agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

You must not use the Basildon vehicle for:

  • In Basildon, any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off‑road use, or other dangerous activities. Carrying hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub‑letting to third parties or allowing unauthorised drivers. Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle was not designed...

8. Basildon Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Basildon Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Applicable Law (Basildon)

These Terms are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, with proceedings heard in Basildon.

10. Changes to Basildon Terms
